What to Anticipate in a Nutrition Session—

Understanding your relationship with eating, exercise and body image is key in becoming a more intuitive eater, engaging in life-enhancing movement and curating a new self narrative.

We offer personalized individual and family nutrition services for clients in New Jersey in our West Long Branch Office and virtual support for clients in California, Florida, New Jersey and New York on our virtual platform. We treat all genders and work with clients ages 5 and older.

Initial assessments are required for all clients and are about 90 minutes in duration. This session will allow us to better understand your intentions and goals for counseling, and design a treatment plan to help you get there. Follow up sessions are 60 minutes and recommendations for frequency of appointments can be explored after the initial assessment is completed. Psychoeducation is a core component of the deep nutritional work, and an emphasis in each individual session. It’s crucial that you receive information around how the human body systems function and how nutrients keep our bodies running efficiently as you move through your process.

Eating is an experience after all, but that experience can easily be hindered by factors that onset fear-based thinking. It’s imperative to understand how someone is self-nourishing, why food has become challenging, and explore the behaviors and rituals that impact their ability to eat and move safely.

Groups & Nutrition Workshops

Groups are offered throughout the year for teens, adolescents and adults, both in-person and online.  In this setting, you can share and exchange conversations with people in different places in their nutritional work and often times, have a meal together, too!

Group sessions allow for more meaningful conversations around the table, and aim for continued growth beyond individual sessions.

Meal Support

Therapeutic meal support is offered for individuals, groups and families, both in-person and online. This personalized service is an additive outside of session, and is an additional layer of support for clients in eating disorder recovery.

Having meal support can be especially helpful for self-accountability, and can aid with increasing confidence around food selection and consumption. This is a great service if you’re looking to reduce stress and anxiety during meal times.

This service is designed to incorporate mindfulness into everyday eating practices and includes a pre-meal intention setting and a post-meal reflection.
